K-1 is currently the most popular martial arts event of the world. A year fighting the crème de la crème of the fighters from kickboxing to the grand final where only the very best fighters in the world in the ring. In K-1, combine different fighting styles creates a Kickboxing style that creates methods for Kung Fu, Karate, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Savate, San Shou, kickboxing, boxing, and has several other martial arts in it. It will be fought under rules similar to the rules that are only those rules of Kickboxing adapted to K-1. This adaptation of policies will ensure that the games remain exciting and not packed with example clinch parties. In addition, the possibility that the games are not all rounds lasting more than in normal kick boxing matches. In a calendar year are the regional competitions in which K-1 fighters can qualify for the K-1 World Grand Prix.
History of K-1
K-1 is derived from Seidokaikan Karate. The Seidokaikan karate was developed in 1980 by Kazuyoshi Ishii, a successful practitioner of Kyokushin karate. Regularly recurring events were organised where fighting took place between the Seidokaikan karate and other martial arts. Initially the fighting took place on Kyokushin karateknockdown rules. Slowly but surely, these rules was such that they were more comparable to Kickboxing rules. Kazuyoshi Ishii founded the K-1 1993 as an organization that occurred just kick boxing matches.
K-1 World Grand Prix
Throughout the year there are six qualifying site, called World Grand Prix tournaments. In addition, there are four large K-1 MAX Tournament site. The soldiers who qualify for these tournaments must make elimination tournament at Osaka Dome in Japan to survive until the grand finale at the Tokyo Dome in Japan shot on the Championship title.
A battle is won by a KO, technical KO or disqualification on the score. In the fighting kick is mainly used the boxing technique. Stuknings are not allowed in the K-1 matches makes it more attractive to the public. Each match consists of three or five rounds of three minutes. It is a round a ten-point system used.The winner of a round receives ten points, the loser nine points or less. Three knockdowns in a round count as a technical knock out. In the case of three knockdowns, the competition is so recently and has three times the fighter who had a knockdown automatically lost.
In the K-1 fight may not include the following: the use of elbows, head butts, fits the cross, wrestling or judo, choke and punch in the throat. There are more rules that a fighter must keep in combat than those listed here.
The role of the Netherlands in the K-1
The whole K-1 tournament, dominated by the Dutch. There is no country so successful that Netherlands in this sport. For this reason, training many big names in K-1 originally from other countries come here in the Netherlands.
